Enhanced Enhanced Plus and Enhanced eye examinations

Our most thorough examinations. The Enhanced examination adds an OCT scan of the retina and optic nerve and a dry eye assessment to the comprehensive examination. The Enhanced Plus examination adds extensive visual fields and a full dry eye assessment with meibography, imaging the oil glands in your eyelids. Both give a far fuller picture of your eye health than a standard sight test, and a clear record to compare against year on year.

Comprehensive Private and NHS eye examinations

A comprehensive eye examination covers your history and symptoms, an accurate measurement of your prescription, eye pressure, binocular vision and a careful check of the health of the front and back of your eyes, with time to explain what we find and advise on glasses, lenses or further care. It is available privately, with or without an OCT scan, and under the NHS for those who are eligible. A student rate is available with student ID.

Scans and Visual Fields Advanced diagnostics at both practices

The Heidelberg Spectralis OCT gives a 3D, cross-sectional image of the retina and optic nerve, the gold standard for detecting and monitoring macular disease, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. The Humphrey HFA3 visual field analyser detects loss of central and peripheral vision from glaucoma, stroke or neurological conditions. The Visionix VX120 screens for glaucoma, cataract and corneal disease in a single sitting. Scans can be added to any examination or booked on their own; see our fees.
