The Options We Offer

Myopia control spectacle lenses

Lenses such as Hoya MiYOSMART look like ordinary single vision lenses but are designed to slow the growth of the eye. They are the simplest option and suit most children from the age of six.

Soft contact lenses for myopia control

Daily disposable soft lenses designed for myopia control, fitted in our Contact Lens Centre and ideal for active children and teenagers who are ready for contact lenses.

Ortho-K

Orthokeratology lenses are worn overnight and gently reshape the front of the eye, so your child sees clearly during the day with no glasses or lenses at all. We fit Ortho-K at both practices; see our fees for session prices.

Advice on daily habits

Time outdoors in daylight, regular breaks from close work and sensible screen distances all help. We will talk these through with you and your child.

What to Expect

A myopia control appointment starts with a full eye examination. We then discuss the options that suit your child's age, prescription and lifestyle, agree a plan, and review progress every six months so the approach can be adjusted as they grow.
